wanna help when it's most needed? 💗 only $8540 to go!

Hey Friends -

With the end of 2023 on the horizon, we've set a goal to reach $10K USD per month in recurring gifts by New Year's Day….and there's only $8540 to go.

As ever, you'll receive SEEDS cryptocurrency in thanks for your gift.  We want nice people to benefit when the crypto market goes up because you gave.

If you'd like to help, it's so appreciated!  Here are some of the folks the Seeds community was able to support so far this year, because of the generosity of people like you.

This is Kana Piath.  She lives in Juba, South Sudan.  She wants to be a doctor when she grows up, but didn't have the money to cover mandatory primary school fees.

Kana Piath all set to go to school!

She lost her father and mother, and so she lives with her disabled grandmother.

Her grandma made a TikTok for us to share about Kana's need.  That's Kana standing behind her.

Thanks to our givers, our community was able to fulfill Kana Piath's request.  We were told that she was so happy that she woke up the next day at 6:00 AM and ran to school to catch up with her classmates.

Per the below: Malek County, South Sudan was devastated by communal conflict for 8 years.  After the war ended, people came back to the village to build life again.

The United Nations Mission dug the a hand pump well for the villagers…but then the mission left, and women and girls were forced to stand in mud and dirty water to retrieve the clean water essential to them and their families.

So they redeemed a SEED to ask for the funds to plaster the area, and our community met their need.  We sent the monetary gift directly to their mobile phones, bypassing banks that exclude them because their government doesn't issue women IDs.

I feel especially happy about this fulfilled request.  Though governments, banks and traditional aid came up short, our community was able to step in to improve lives.

Below is Onnissia, a Brooklyn-based artist who had started a GoFundMe campaign to support an upcoming residency.

She was showing her work at an LA art fair, and spoke with another artist there (yay Ryen!) about how her GoFundMe hadn't met its goal, though her residency was meant to start very soon.

Ryen told her about Seeds, and redeemed a SEED on Onnissia's behalf to help. Our community was then able to source the funds to meet Onnissia's need.

Seeds turns 11 next February.  Over the years, we've supported sexual assault victims as they undergo healing, a kind of care especially close to my heart as someone who has experienced sexual assault myself.

Our community has assisted many families in both staving off homelessness, and leaving it behind….including mine.

But Seeds is still a little-known project, and the bad actions of others in the cryptocurrency space, as well as macroeconomic forces endemic to the old system (like inflation), have made it harder for us to raise funds to help folks in need this year.

On top of that - probably needless to say for most of you - the cryptocurrency market is down right now….but the crypto winter shows signs of thawing.

This means I especially want to encourage generous people to take the action of giving now, for your own benefit as well.  Because you'll receive SEEDS in thanks, if you give when the market is low, you stand to see even more upside when and if it rebounds.

As I've said in previous emails, the Bitcoin halvening has historically kicked off cryptocurrency market booms…and the next halvening is expected in April of next year.

So there's an even stronger need for your support right now - as well as a potentially greater reward for your kindness.

Will you help us raise the remaining $8540 needed to reach our goal?

Appreciate you all very much!  To greater abundance, for all of us!
