As Bitcoin hits record highs, the Seeds community gives our largest gift to date π
Hey Friends!
A lot of you saw that as of this past Monday, November 30th, 2020, Bitcoin hit new all-time highs.
Weβre super excited to share that we concurrently hit a big milestone within our community at Seeds, and wanted to announce that we came together to give our biggest gift to date.
Kristy & her kids had become homeless in Nebraska after facing economic hardship due to COVID, as the US government continues to fail to provide basic support (which is continually making us furious).
Kristy send along this pic. Her son is a Junior Olympian.
The family of four had been sleeping in her car, heating up ramen at gas stations.
So a SEED was redeemed to activate a $3000 USD Request for Help - enough to get them into a safe, comfortable home and hold them over until she received the first paycheck from her new job.
Thanks to your incredible generosity, the Seeds community raised $3324, our largest gift to date. This was enough to get Kristy's family in a hotel for a few days to get some proper rest and care so that they could then find a suitable apartment, which she promptly did. Because of you, Kristy was then able to afford first month's rent and a security deposit.
Kristy send along a few pics of the family at the hotel, enjoying some well-deserved relaxation.
This is significant milestone for our community at Seeds. In Kristy's case, one SEED brought her $3324. As our community continues to expand and grow, we're looking forward to the moment when one SEED can bring someone 6 months of living expenses, so they can leave an abusive relationship or a job that they hate.
We're working toward the day when one SEED can bring someone a gift large enough to buy their dream home...or fund the feature film they've been longing to make.
If you'd like to help someone in need to receive SEEDS cryptocurrency in thanks, you're always welcome to do so here.
If you have questions about cryptocurrency in the wake of Bitcoin hitting its all-time highs, we held a live webcast this week with a pretty extensive Q&A, so it can be a good resource.
The webcast is here, if you need!
Thank you so much for all you do to make this giving community so great! We appreciate you so much!
