Throwback Podcast Interview with Backstage Capital, a Seeds Investor

For those who prefer consuming content via pods, below is a throwback interview I did in 2017 with Backstage Capital, a firm that has recognized the opportunity in focusing on investment in startups created by women, POC, and LGBT founders who are frequently shunned by overwhelmingly male, white, cishet VC. Backstage became an investor in Seeds that same year.

While I’m a believer that venture capital as an institution is fundamentally flawed by design, and therefore needs to die, I was a long time fan of Backstage Founder Arlan Hamilton’s initiative and her intentions. The extreme adversity she’s overcome is an inspiration to us all.
