this child soldier used seeds when banks, government & aid failed him

Hey Friends -

Maybe you've heard me mention Mayom Mabuong Marek before.  He's a former child soldier in South Sudan who first received help through Seeds nearly 8 years ago now.  He used his gift to start a business that is still operational today, sustaining his family and that of his 2 employees.

He then took it upon himself to teach his local community how to use Seeds too. This is especially impactful for the women he knows, because the South Sudanese federal government hadn't issued women IDs - and they therefore can't open bank accounts.

His story showcases the areas where Seeds can close the gap when traditional finance, discrimination in government, and even shortcomings in UN Aid leave people hanging.

I interviewed him and made a video about it.  You should totally check it out. 💗

He's a remarkable person, as you'll see.  I hope that sharing his story will inspire more folks to offer support. As he says, what's considered to be a little for us in the so-called developed world can really go a long way.

To abundance, for all of us!

Warmly,
Rachel
